Module (sound-absorbing sponge)

A sculpture created by casting sound-absorbing sponge in plaster, then placing the resulting plaster negative form atop an aluminum structural framework.

This process simultaneously strips the sponge of its original function while endowing it with new meaning as an object within a structural framework.
